7:03 PM | coming to sleep in mom and dad's bed.
(3/2/03) this was pretty funny. normally... it seems, you have a tendacy to wake up early... anywhere between 4:30 and 5:30 am. you come pitter padder down the hall with your cup of water ready to join us for the remember sleep time. no problem. i like it. EXCEPT this morning... I MEAN NIGHT. it was 11:30pm. night had barely began. suddenly i awoke to the pitter padder and look up to see this cutey pie with her cup of water with a straw... "hi mamma". i felt so bad making you go back into your own bed. you were very upset. actually it ended up being a pretty rough night getting you back to sleep but in any event... you were still so very cute.

6:56 PM | bye bye my bubbles.(3/03/03)
this was just the cute saying you said as you waved your bathtub bubbles goodbye and they went down the drain.

6:55 PM | bear in the big blue house.
(03/02/03) today was your first show. it was so much fun. we met brian, kim, lauren and maddie at the theatre. when the show started, you went wild. it was so amazing to watch. you were smiling big, clapping, singing, pointing, talking, dancing in daddy's arms. it was great. you were really attentive and excited up until intermission. then i think you were done. the length was only about 1.5 hours but still probably just a tad too long. you were still watching and excited but you were getting ancy.

5:04 PM | the news.
this was hysterical. we were getting ready to watch 101 Dalmations II and i needed to change your diaper so i didn't press play and wouldn't until you got me a diaper. you refused. it didn't matter that i wasn't pressing play... still you kept refusing. that is until daddy said, "OK, I AM GOING TO TURN ON THE NEWS!" we have never seen you turn soooo fast and fly to your room. it was soooo funny.

5:01 PM | valentine cards.
(2/13/03) this morning before we went to school, we finished up your valentine day cards for your classmates. you were so cute. you would pick out the card, then tell me who it was for, pick out the crayon color for me to write with... once i wrote the names, you folded the card and sealed it with a heart sticker. we put all the cards in the valentine card box. you held the box the entire ride to school and immediately upon entering the classroom, you started taking one out at a time.. finding out who it was for and hand delivered them. it was really so very cute!

not to mention you called me today again to say hi. it was so nice.

4:58 PM | eggs.
(2/10/03) This is too funny... i think. i eat A LOT of egg whites. i have them at least once a day. whether it be for breakfast, lunch or dinner. of course you are always there and always have some of mine or it was our meal. anyway, i was getting ready to make dinner and you were in the living room SLOUCHED on the couch watching dragon tails. i walk in to check on you and tell you i am going to start dinner and you say, "I WANT EGGS!"

5:07 PM | getting interested.
(sunday too) i had printed off some educational coloring alphabet sheets awhile back and you happen to catch a glimse of them today and wanted desperately to color them. you really hadn't been too interested until now so... i brought them out. we did A - H. each sheet had BIG letter and little letter and 4 pictures of items that started with the letter. i would review each picture and associate it with the letter. then on your own, while coloring you would repeat saying the letter and then going through the pictures. it was really cool.

(sunday, feb 9, 2003) we were driving looking at houses today and all of the sudden you started singing your abc's. i thought you could do it but you are very stubborn and purposely will not do certain things for me and the alphabet is one of them. well, you did the entire alphabet. I KNEW IT!! i asked you to do it again and i only got away with that request ONCE. still you have yet to give me the pleasure of hearing it again but let me tell you ... it was sooo nice!

5:02 PM | bye barney.
we were all set and ready to leave for work. you were right behind me and i was opening the front door. i turned around and you were gone. i called for you and you did not answer. i heard you walking so i walked over the the doorway of the hallway and living room. it was slightly dark because it was early and the shades were still down. i could hear you in the kitchen and you were putting your cup into the sink. you must have wanted you last sip of milk and finished it and every so politely were putting into the sink. i heard the cup fall to floor but you picked it right up and put it into the sink. now for some reason this morning we had to have barney at the breakfast table with us so that is where he still was. for some reason, the past few weeks you cannot sleep without your barney. anyway, i still couldn't see you but all of the sudden i hear you make a "smooch" sound of a kiss and say, "bye barney". it was so very cute.

4:57 PM | hi baby.
this morning started like most mornings. you wake up and come into our room. you started to climb up onto the bed and noticed that my shirt was up a tab and you could see my belly. you went to say something but right before you did you gave me a look. this look is like no other look. it is the look that says... yes, i now i am cute and i am about to do something that will melt your heart. AND IT WAS. you reach out and start rubbing my belly and say, "hi baby."

4:28 PM | daddy's birthday dinner.
today is dad's birthday and we all went out to dinner. uncle joe and matt came too. you were having a blast, singing and laughing. then just as the food was coming, you say, "i got to go potty." AHHH MANNNN! i dread public bathrooms, nevermind adding a child to them. ok, so in the bathroom we go. there i am covering the toilet with toilet paper. i was hoping you wouldn't go since i had already taken your diaper off. finally after a few trys, i got the toilet completely covered. up you go and onto the toilet i held you. "all done" you say. NOOOOO, honey, you brought me all the way in here, please try and go. suddenly, tinkle tinkle. you went. i was so excited and so were you. all dressed again and out the bathroom you run. i knew exactly what you were about to do. " DADDY DADDY, I WENT POTTY". i am pretty sure many people in the resturant were smiling.
